Security And Account Safety
Envelopd is designed around hard spending limits, contextual identity checks, and privacy by default.
Identity setup
Section titled “Identity setup”Some actions require identity setup before they are available:
- Creating cards.
- Connecting bank accounts.
- Moving money.
- Requesting physical cards.
If the app shows Finish Setup, go to Banking and complete the required prompts before continuing.
Bank connection safety
Section titled “Bank connection safety”Bank accounts connect through Plaid. Use Funding or Banking to connect, review, or remove funding sources.
Card controls
Section titled “Card controls”Use card controls to:
- Freeze a card temporarily.
- Unfreeze it when safe.
- Cancel a card permanently if needed.
- Reveal secure details only when necessary.
- Review card activity after spending.
Spending controls
Section titled “Spending controls”- A card can only spend from its matching envelope.
- An empty envelope should stop category spending.
- Frozen, inactive, canceled, or revoked cards should not spend.
- Family cards follow member permissions and admin limits.
Account and privacy settings
Section titled “Account and privacy settings”Use Settings, Privacy, Terms, and Support for account preferences, notification choices, and help paths.
